Penultimate day to Santiago.

Wow, it’s crazy to think that I’ve been walking for 33 days. In so many ways time has flown but when I try to remember the first week, it feels like a lifetime ago!

Today was a perfect day. Hills, streams, birdsong and eucalyptus forests. The smell of the eucalyptus was divine. The temperature was around 18c which is the warmest it’s been for a while. Apple cider is popular here so this is now my drink of choice on a hot day instead of the vino tinto and cerveza.

The markers counted right down to km18 which means this is all that’s remaining to reach Santiago…tomorrow.
