Bridge of Orchy Hotel
A hearty breakfast of Scottish porridge
This section around Loch Lomond became a bit more of a scramble, climbing around large rocks
Will and Frank navigating their way around the path
Ahh, nice and easy!
Frank pondering life (actually just posing!)
Doune Byre Bothy
Inside Doune Byre Bothy
I was dreading that stile until I saw the gap in the wall to the left of it!
Looking back on Loch Lomond and thinking good riddens after that last section!
Informative signs along the West Highland Way
A delicious toastie at Beinglas farm
Imagine how peaceful it would be to live out here…
An honesty box where I drank my first ever Irn Bru – quite nice too!
The scenery is changing again now the trail has moved away from Loch Lomond
Wide open views like these are what I was hoping for on this trail
A storm is brewing!
Howard came up to meet me for the weekend and we thought I would have made it to the Bridge of Orchy, but after cutting yesterday’s stage short because of the thunderstorms, I was 10km behind schedule! Today was long enough so I took the train from Tyndrum to meet him at the Bridge of Orchy and we would make our way back to Tyndrum the next morning to continue the trail where I left off.
