Today was my first real day cycling in Hokkaido and my longest day yet. The cycling was easy and the coastline stunning but I wanted to stop at every opportunity to give my bum a break!

Coming across Shiriuchi Michi-no-Eki with this bakery next door was the highlight of the day. The donuts were still fresh and still warm and the best I’ve ever had in Japan. They were so good, after buying two and eating them straight away, I went back and bought two more for tomorrow’s breakfast!

The small town of Fukushima is home to a few famous Sumo wrestlers so they have this museum called the Yokozuna Chiyonoyama & Chiyonofuji Memorial Museum
