May 14th, 2013I woke up at 4:30am when people started to get up but decided that today I was going to relax in this beautiful albergue. Many albergues have a strict rule that pilgrims are only allowed to stay one night unless you have a serious injury. I had asked the owner of the albergue (a wonderful man called Eduardo) the night before as I was already thinking it would be nice to stay an extra day and he had said no problem.
In the morning after everyone had left I asked if there was anything I could do to help… I was soon sweeping the dorms, making beds and watering the beautiful tulips as it was going to be another hot day. I spent the rest of the day catching up on my journal, hand washing and drying clothes, relaxing on the grass and chatting with some new camino friends, Anda from Ireland and Katharina from Germany. It was the perfect day in the perfect place and just what I needed. The forecast shows rain for the next week!
